About us - Women's Agenda

We’re glad you’re curious!  We’re a hub sharing the latest news and views affecting how women live and work.

Every day our small team of journalists and editors look at politics, business, leadership, tech and life from the perspective of professional women and female entrepreneurs. We offer a neat summary of everything you need to know in our daily email update, sent just before lunchtime.

We’re small (and therefore nimble), independent and 100 per cent female owned and run.

Our mission is to share news and views that matter to women And get more women heard on the issues that matter.

We aim to do all of this without going too overboard on the caffeine and red wine, and while wrangling a number of small children between us. We’re an established media brand initially launched in 2012 that’s also a media startup, after our 2016 acquisition saw us relaunched by our founding editor turned entrepreneur Angela Priestley in 2017, who then co founded Agenda Media Pty Ltd with Tarla Lambert.

Agenda Media is now a growing independent media company, and one of few in Australia that’s 100% female owned. We have no outside investment, and support our work through advertising and partnerships.

Agenda Media also publishes Women’s Health News, podcasts, research and a number of custom-publishing projects, research with a wide range of clients.

Every year we celebrate and recognise emerging female leaders through our national awards program, the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards.
